Gnatcast does not require users to create an account or provide personal details like names or phone numbers.

Data Collection & Usage

Gnatcast is a community-driven tool. To function, we collect the following data when you submit a report:

• Location Data: We store the approximate latitude and longitude of your "BiteRep" to display it on the map and calculate community risk scores.
• Device Identifier: We store a unique, anonymous device identifier. This allows you to delete your own reports and helps us prevent spam. This ID cannot be used to identify you personally.

Third-Party Services

The app uses Apple WeatherKit and NOAA for weather and tide data. These services receive your location to provide accurate local data but do not receive any identity-linked information from Gnatcast.

Data Sharing

We do not share your location or reports with third parties for marketing or advertising. We do not sell user data.
